Successful participation in NordBau 2025
KÖSTER BAUCHEMIE was once again represented at NordBau in Neumünster from September 10 to 14 this year. The trade fair was very successful, attracting over 50,000 visitors, which was reflected in the large number of visitors to the KÖSTER stand. Our colleagues had their hands full and were involved in many intensive discussions.

Yesterday, Ina Hundhausen, Managing Director of the association Deutsche Bauchemie, visited us in Aurich. The topics discussed during her visit included the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in the industry, current trends in economic policy, as well as construction chemicals and sustainability. Ina Hundhausen had the opportunity to gain insight into KÖSTER’s diverse activities and responsibilities across many countries around the world.

New Photovoltaic System – KÖSTER Utilizes the Advantages of Renewable Energy
Recently, we installed a photovoltaic system on the roof of our liquid production facility. The roof, covered with KÖSTER TPO roofing membranes, was equipped with 104 modules.
We not only aim to look towards a sustainable future with our products, but also to take advantage of the benefits of renewable energy during production.
CO2 Reduction with KÖSTER TPO Pro
KÖSTER TPO Pro is one of our most sustainable products. With a recycled polymer content of > 50% and a high SRI value (Solar Reflectance Index) of > 94, we have launched a new leading product on the market. We have also recently received certification for our CO2 balance from the SKZ - Das Kunststoff-Zentrum, which states that the use of 1,000 m² of KÖSTER TPO Pro roofing membranes, for example, saves 1,860 kg of CO2. At the same time, KÖSTER TPO Pro is extremely durable with an expected service life of well over 30 years. Due to the superior reflection of the sun’s rays and heat, the roof heats up less and thus saves cost for air conditioning and the low temperatures put less strain on the roof structure.

This year, we will once again be exhibiting at BAU in Munich, Europe's largest construction trade fair. “For us, the topic of sustainability is once again in focus, as we have also recently received certification for our CO2 balance from the SKZ - Das Kunststoff-Zentrum, which states that the use of 10,000 square meters of KÖSTER TPO Pro roofing membrane, for example, saves 18,600 kg of CO2,” says Dr. Dieter Köster, CEO of KÖSTER BAUCHEMIE AG. “This product, which is environmentally friendly and saves energy with a high proportion of recycled polymers and a solar reflectance index of more than 94, is just one of many products in our portfolio that stand for sustainability.”

We took part in this year's DHBV conference. It was an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with industry colleagues, gain new impetus and present our latest solutions in the field of structural waterproofing and repair.
